When I went to TheKey.to I realized again, that I really, really have to focus more on making products out of organic and fair trade  fabrics – and that’s on my mind already a long time.

And there already were some RevoluzZza dolls I made with organic or recycling fabrics. But the main problem ist without any doubt: to get beautiful organic fair trade fabrics. And now I finally found a great shop for organic fabrics. And lucky me – this shop is even in Berlin: Siebenblau.
Yesterday I drove to that shop, got to know the owner, a very nice lady who even gives a lot of sewing advices and loves to share her knowledge about organic and fair trade  fabrics. And I bought some really beautiful organic fabrics and looking forward to present you more „RevoluzZza for Nature“ creatures soon.

Als ich auf der TheKey.to war, wurde mir bewusst, dass im RevoluzZza-Sortiment wirklich mehr Produkte aus organischen und Fairtrade-Stoffen zu finden sein sollten. Geplant ist das ja schon seit Langem – und es gab ja auch schon einige RevoluzZza-Wesen aus Öko- und Recycling-Stoffen.
Mein Hauptproblem war bisher, überhaupt schöne Öko-Stoffe zu finden – und jetzt habe ich endlich den richtigen Laden hierfür entdeckt. Und zu meinem Glück ist der sogar in Berlin: Siebenblau.

Also fuhr ich gestern zu Siebenblau und lernte die sehr kompetente und nette Inhaberin kennen, die wunderbare Nähtipps gibt und über die Hintergründe von organischen und Fairtrade-Stoffen informiert. Und natürlich habe ich auch ein paar wunderschöne Bio-Öko-Stoffe mitgenommen und freue mich schon, Euch bald neue „RevoluzZza for Nature“-Wesen zu präsentieren.

The Fashion Week Berlin is over now – and I had some really interesting talks, inspirations and saw some really good stuff at TheKey.to, the International Event for Green Fashion and Sustainable Lifestyle and Culture.

Sometimes I got the impression so far that many designers have the idea that taking some eco cotton shirt that is sweatshop free produced and print some provocing message on it is just enough to make „green fashion“.
And I’m glad that at TheKey.to many designers presented their work that proved me wrong (although some still believe in the shirt-message-idea which is actually pretty boring and not very convincing for people who need to see that „green fashion“ can also be haute couture – just with better materials).

The event happened in the Heeresbäckerei – a very nice location (never have been there so far):

So, die Fashion Week Berlin ist schon wieder vorbei – und ich hatte eine wirklich gute Zeit auf der TheKey.to – der internationalen Messe für grüne Mode, nachhaltigen Lifestyle und Kultur.
Oftmals hatte ich bisher ja den Eindruck, dass viele Designer denken, es reiche aus, Sweatshop-frei gefertigte T-Shirts aus Öko-Baumwolle mit provokanten Öko-Sprüchen zu bedrucken – aber auf der TheKey.to wurde ich eines besseren belehrt (größtenteils jedenfalls).

Die Messe fand in der Heeresbäckerei statt – eine wirklich schöne Location:

Natürlich braucht auch grüne Mode eingängige Slogans (und der „the no lifestyle style“-Spruch ist von einer Firma, die wirklich großartige Schuhe macht: Snipe)

Of course there were so many more interesting designers and companies, like Ethletic with their cool eco sneakers (a must have), Izzy Lane – very classy adults fashion from Great Britain, sakku the solar bag that is loading your mobile phone, iPod and so on, Pants to Poverty, Van Markoviec and well… finally cool eco shirts with cool messages: Riot Creations :-)

Und natürlich gab es auch noch viele weitere super interessante Designer und Firmen: z.B. Ethletic, die Öko-Sneaker im Converse-Style anbieten (muss man einfach haben), Izzy Lane, sehr klassische Mode aus England, sakku , die Tasche mit Solarzellen, die praktischerweise das Handy, den iPod usw. auflädt, Pants to Poverty, Van Markoviec und natürlich gab’s auch richtig schöne coole T-Shirts mit cooles Sprüchen: Riot Creations :-)
