Yay! RevoluzZzionary Design in Tokyo, Dublin and Berlin

Recently I took part at a competition of a local bag designer: tauschetasche.

It’s a pretty successfull shop with a nice idea: You can change the cover of your bag whenever you like and there are many, many different covers you can buy. And so it’s like you have a new bag when you change the cover (and every woman loves new bags of course). Or you change the cover for a special occasion. Or just another cover for every outfit. Most of the stylish women and mommies here in Berlin/Prenzlauer Berg own a tauschetasche-bag (and of course I …

Kittygirl – Next Generation

Alright. I liked the first kittygirl – but some things were not that good as i thought they would be. So here is the Kittygirl – Next Generation:

This time i decided to make stitched eyes instead of felt eyes – and the body and the head shape is a bit different, too.

What do you think?

New Creatures

I really like the theme “creatures” a lot – and it made me think about a creature I wanted to make already a long time ago.

My kids are huge fans of the book “Where the Wild Things Are” and there is this little lion-hearted boy Max who has exciting adventures and wears a wolf costume. Although it’s just a costume it made me wanna create a softie that is half human  and half an animal. Of course this is a very old idea that was used already in very old mythological stories (Sphinx, Centaur, Minotaur, mermaids and so on).…

RevoluzZza goes L.A.

I’m very excited and happy about the fact, that I’m invited to join some of my RevoluzZza creatures to an exhibition in Los Angeles. Mr. Funky is organizing a show at the gallery Ghetto Gloss at the end of September this year. The theme is “creatures” – and I LOVE it.

Alright, there is lot’s of work to do now :-)

BTW: Do you know “Mr. Funky”? She is an amazing artist and is creating “crochet stuffed animals and knit wear with retro 1920’s to 1970’s styling”. And her creations are really great -  have a look at her …

Bags, bags, bags…

For a special event I designed a new type of RevoluzZza bags. It’s a very simple but special shape. I wanted it to be just straight and plain vanilla.

And here it is:

For now there are two types: one with an appliqué and one just plain.

There are more bags like this to come. I think :-)

The Pippi Bag

After I made so many stuffed animals… I really liked to create something different. I didn’t make any bags for quite some time – so I thought it would be great to make some more bags.

This is one I made for my little daughter who just started to go to the kindergarten – and needed a kindergarten bag. She is a huge Pippi Longstocking fan. Sometimes when we ask her what her name is – she even answers: “I am…. PIPPILOTTAAA!” (Remember? Pippi Longstockings whole name is: Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraimsdaughter Longstocking :-) ).

Well, so it has …
