… a new doll – a flower fairy – inspired by two dolls I made some years ago: Emmi Nilsdotter and Lale, the tulip girl.

I want to show you how long it takes and how many thoughts and sketches I spent on each of my dolls. And maybe you like to create your own special doll, too?

I think this doll shouldn’t have fixed clothes but should be almost naked (with cute little panties) with many, many beautiful dresses and skirts and blouses…

Well, if you are a Facebook-friend then you already know the doll that was created: Little Anni, une Enfant du Jardin – a little garden girl.

Sometimes the best things just happen accidentally – and things like scribbling around a bit while you are doing something else – talking on the phone for example – is a really good thing because your consiousness isn’t judging the thing you are scribbling and telling you “Oh, that looks weird, stop that”. Almost a little bit like the Surrealists did their écriture automatique (I had to give a presentation about this issue while studying Fine Arts and I found it absolutely fascinating).

And so I was recently talking in the phone, scribbling and finally found something on my paper …

Little Legs/Beinchen

Yes, legs… many, many legs for my new project that has to be ready very soon. I’m a bit stressed out right now and I think I will be really happy when I’m finished.
